Thank you to Otepää municipality, which supports the construction of the skating rink and its maintenance.

The illuminated rink will delight big and small skating enthusiasts. The skating rink is illuminated in the evenings and music plays in the background. You can skate with your own skates, but in Otepää it is also possible to rent them from various companies that rent winter equipment.

• Skaters are obliged to familiarize themselves with the rules before going to the rink and to adhere to them. The established rules are for your own protection and must be followed.
• If there are signs prohibiting going to the skating rink, it is forbidden to go to the skating rink.
• First of all, assess whether your health condition allows you to ride on the skating rink. Skating is done at one's own risk, and the skater is responsible for injuries sustained on the rink. In case of an accident, call 112.
• Before riding, make sure that the skates and protectors are in good condition (including making sure that the skate laces are well tied).
• Do not bring unnecessary things to the skating rink that will distract you and your fellow riders.
• Choose a suitable driving speed that does not disturb the passengers
• On the skating rink, skating is done in circles in a counter-clockwise direction.
• It is forbidden to go on the ice without skates (for the purpose of cleaning the ice and to help a beginner, it is allowed).
• It is recommended that skaters wear gloves, a helmet and protectors on the rink.
• If there are both skaters and hockey players on the rink, the rink is divided in half.
• Everyone on the ice rink must take care of the cleanliness of the ice surface, as any object dropped on the ice, even a small piece of paper, can cause a fall.
• There is no snow war on the ice rink.
• It is forbidden to damage and break the equipment on the ice rink and its area or to use it inappropriately.
• Intentional damage to the ice (e.g. poking holes in the ice with skate tips) is prohibited.
• The skating rink is maintained by Otepää Winterplace, and the skater is obliged to comply with the orders given by the employees of Otepää Winterplace. Including releasing ice for maintenance work.
• You must not be under the influence of alcohol, drugs or other psychotropic substances on the skating rink. Smoking is also prohibited.
• It is forbidden to stay with dogs and other animals on the ice rink.
• Respect other skaters! Do not endanger yourself or others.
